Introducing Nottingham BID
NRBA is delighted to welcome new sponsors Nottingham BID for year two of the Awards…
Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID) was formed in 2012 following the merger of the city’s retail and leisure BIDs. It is a not for profit organisation that delivers a range of projects and activities for the benefit its members – businesses and organisations in the retail, leisure, office and education sectors within a defined area of Nottingham city centre.
It is one of the largest BIDs in the country with over 800 members. Its aim is to position Nottingham as a city of choice for shopping, leisure, work and study by delivering a range of initiatives, often in partnership with other organisations. The programme of initiatives are driven and shaped by its members, to give them greatest benefit.
It’s in Nottingham is the brand used by the BID to promote the city to consumers.
This includes delivering campaigns and events throughout the year as well as having a dedicated website and social media accounts. These include initiatives like the forthcoming Nottingham Cocktail Week which takes place in the city centre from Monday 3 September to Sunday 9 September 2018.
“We have decided to become a sponsor of the Nottingham Restaurant and Bar Awards this year as we wanted to support an initiative that celebrates Nottingham’s great restaurants, bars and pubs, many of whom are our members. Our sponsorship also helps to raise awareness of Nottingham BID and what it does, along with our consumer brand It’s in Nottingham and the initiatives we organise under that brand,” said Andy Crawford, a director of Nottingham BID.
