Introducing Nottingham College

Today is the final of the Best Young Talent, Back of House Award sponsored by Nottingham College.  In anticipation of the cook-off, here’s a little information on the sponsor themselves..

8 June 2017 was a landmark date for education changing in Nottingham as Nottingham College was formed following the merger of Central CollegeNottingham and New College Nottingham (NCN).

A year on, Nottingham College is one of the largest colleges in the country catering for around 20,000 full and part-time students and apprentices with ten main centres spread across the City including Basford, City Centre (Maid Marian Way and Adams), Ruddington, Highfields and Clarendon.

Key to the merged college is the proposed brand new city centre new build scheduled to open in 2020. The state-of-the-art City Hub, which will be located on land next to the Broadmarsh Centre, will become the College’s flagship building complementing the other centres within the college’s community-based campuses.

Some of the top facilities include a city centre hairdressing and beauty therapy salon, a city centre TripAdvisor top 10 rated restaurant (Adams Brasserie) open to the public, award-winning creative arts, music, media and photography studios and industry-standard construction, automotive and engineering workshops.

School leavers can access a whole range of courses at all levels including A Levels, apprenticeships and BTEC Diplomas with progression through to university-level courses.

During the summer the College launched its new brand, giving it a completely new identity read more about it here.

Nottingham College is taking applications for full-time courses starting in September 2019.  For more details and to apply online go to or call 0115 9 100 100.
